These Watermelon Fries with Coconut Lime Dip and Tajin seasoning are SO, SO tasty!. Tajin is a Mexican seasoning that is a mixture of salt, chili and lime. It has become one of our favorite seasonings and takes (already) yummy watermelon to another level. These “fries” are a perfect summer snack for all your friends and family. Not to mention they’re Gluten Free and Vegan. Enjoy!
Tip: When it comes to picking out a good watermelon, keep these three things in mind:
1. Choose a watermelon that feels heavy for it’s size.
2. Choose a watermelon that has a yellow spot on one side.
3. Choose a watermelon that makes a deep hollow sound when tapped.
Now that you’ve got the perfect watermelon, let’s make some “fries”!
Ingredients:
- 1 watermelon (or a half if you’re not wanting to make a huge batch.
- 2 tsp Tajin seasoning (or to taste)
- 1 cup coconut yogurt
- Zest and juice of 1 lime
Directions:
- Cut watermelon into strips resembling fries.
- Place in a medium size bowl.
- For the dip, combine coconut yogurt, lime zest and lime juice. Mix.
- Sprinkle Tajin seasoning over watermelon fries and toss to evenly coat.
- Serve with the coconut-lime dip and enjoy!
